Has anyone here ever had it or known anyone who did? I just watched a movie about it and if that ever happened to me I believe I would shite myself.

Oh man! Watch Dead Awake on netflix
Then don't sleep for 2 days.

I actually did have sleep paralysis a couple of times about 20 years ago. Extremely frightening experience. That movie freaked me out. Kinda thinking naw in regards to watching that documentary.

It's fricking terrifying. You feel completely helpless. Only happens to me when I haven't been getting enough sleep.

I can only imagine how terrible it must be to actually be completely paralyzed.

Had it on occasion in college. I think it was a combination of stress, cheap eating, and fricked up sleep schedules.

Been a few years now thank goodness.

I used to get it a lot. Not so much recently. I get it when I'm really tired and I nap during the day. I'm used it to and don't freak out anymore and I know what's happening. I'll kind of thrash back and forth in my mind until I wake up.

One time I saw a demonic figure walking by so that was kind of cool.

First time it happened to me was legitimately the scariest thing that's ever happened to me because I had NO idea what was happening to me.

The more it happens, though, the easier it gets to deal with.

I suffer? from it. Scary part for me is I can tell Im taking really shallow breaths, to the point where it feels like Im not breathing. Ive learned it almost only happens when I sleep on my back, so I never do that anymore.

Thats exactly what I do.

I didn't recommend you watch it, especially at night. That shite will have you scared to go to sleep.

Trying to wiggle my toes helps me break out of sleep paralysis.
