The only experience I've had with Sirius is in my Silverado. However, I'm about to start a job that allows me to work from home quite a bit. Does anyone have satellite radio for their home or office and how much was it per month to begin with? Can you still call and get the 6 mo. for $30 like you can your vehicle?

Just opt for the internet version and stream over your computer.

The home unit had spotty reception when I tried it 7 years ago.

I have an Amazon Echo and I just use Prime Music or Pandora to play music.

I guess you still want to have the talk radio options you get with XM?

That's what I would do these days. About 10-12 years ago I had a unit in my truck that you could dock in there or take with you. It had a little speaker in it, but also a home dock with a built in speaker. I had it at my desk at work and it only worked because I was next to a window. When I moved offices I couldn't pick anything up since I was on a lower floor away from the window.

Yep. The antenna was awful and would only work when hanging from one window of my house

I would sign up for Amazon Prime instead. You get music/movies and free 2 day shipping
