Shrimp smell in freezer

I recently bought 50 pounds of shrimp and put them in 10 bags with about 5 pounds of shrimp in each bag. I guess I got sloppy at the end because I noticed that some of the bags leaked shrimp water and froze to the bottom of the freezer. I have since emptied the freezer and cleaned it out twice but I cannot get rid of the smell. The only thing I have not done is empty the whole thing and do the whole charcoal briquettes, coffee grounds, or vanilla extract thing because I don't have a back up fridge to put all my stuff in for multiple days while the fridge is off. The inside of the freezer doesn't seem bad but every time I pass the freezer it almost smells like it is coming out of the back of the freezer making my whole kitchen stink. I looked on the bottom and cannot find a drip pan. What can I do? I guess I will probably have to turn this into an outside fridge and buy another refrigerator.

I have 3 boxes in there now. Went home for lunch today and the smell hit me as soon as I turned the corner to the kitchen.

And if that doesn't work, try to freeze some cut oranges or lemons. I mean, you're going to end up throwing them out, but citrus draws a lot of smells out, too. I've gotten wet dog and other foul smells out of cars with only orange peels and baking soda. Just takes a little effort.
Frozen seafood juice is tough though.

Had a similar problem (inside fine, but smell outside freezer). Try emptying the drip pan. I had to remove and clean it. After a few days the smell was gone.
No amount of coffee grounds, baking soda, etc. helped.
ETA... Didn't see no drip pan line. Prayers sent.

I have scrubbed the whole thing out twice with Lysol. I double bagged the shrimp. I'm wondering if some of the shrimp juice drained somewhere before freezing. I moved the fridge and didn't see anything underneath it.

It's in your drip pan find it and you will find the source of your smell. You will also prob vomit.

Simple Green or A product found at truck stops called Natural Orange. It's the sulfates in the shell that you are smelling. This will clean the surfaces the juice made contact with. Need to completely empty the unit, clean it, and go from there. If there are any filters on the unit you need to clean/replace those as well.

I took the front bottom panel off and all I saw were coils. I then took the back panel off and didn't see the drip pan there either. Where is that fricker?

Google is your friend - look up the make/model of your unit and find a manual.
There's some hidden drip pan or drain plug that you have missed.

The smell appears to be coming out of the back of the unit.

wipe it down w/ lemon juice, then put a little in the bottom and let it freeze. in a week or so, clean it out again. So fresh and so clean, clean!!!
