Kind of a weird request. So my 4 year old wants to see snow. me & the mrs decided we're gonna just improvise it for the most part. We're doing it for Mardi Gras break. Any suggestions on a decent place to relax in a lil cabin or something , let the kids play & not be more than about 8 hours or so. First thought was Gatlinburg but with the fires, that may be out. Now I'm thinking of just heading north on 55 or maybe 49 on google maps and find something around those areas. So I guess my question is what's the closest place with guaranteed snow on the ground around mid February?
1. From BR
2. Only have about 4 days
3. Driving

The Rocky Mountains are going to be about the only Guaranteed snow. But there's usually a pretty good chance of snow in the Ozarks. North Arkansas, Southern Mizzou area.

North Louisiana this Friday.
ETA: Serious answer: You can get to northern New Mexico in a day's hard driving.

Check this map in a few weeks...Unless things change before then, northern New Mexico looks like your best bet.

Ask again 3 days before you're leaving and we'll check the weather for you.....

Take an extra day or two or 5 and head up to International Falls, Minnesota.

your 4 year old is going to play in the snow for 10 minutes and then not want to go back outside for the rest of the trip......I'd suggest renting one of these....you can make snow in your front yard
