If it's a Hawaiian shirt, not only is it acceptable, it is very much encouraged.

In any season, in any occasion, Hawaiian shirts are 100% acceptable.

Yes, for lean dudes that are more stylish

I don't think there is anything wrong with it, but I don't think it is usually pulled off well

It's certainly not a substitute for a sportshirt or dress shirt, it's a substitute for a polo
