Obviously its a movie/show, but why the hell dont cops or thugs ever shoot at the tires when they are flying down the road shooting back and forth at each other? Wouldnt that make more sense than shooting at the back glass or trunk so many times that you run out of bullets or the other person gets away?

Also always wondered why people never shoot peoples legs when they are crouched down behind a car or on the ground with a car between them and the other shooter. Why woukd you jump up and shoot wildly when you can just shoot low, then shoot again as as thr other person falls to the ground in agony?

I like to think it's a conspiracy to get dumb criminals to actually talk during interrogations

Tires spin really fast so they're hard to shoot.

Do what? The tires can only go where the vehicle goes. Shoot at the car and you can keep driving. Shoot out one of the tires and the vehicle is only going so far before its throwing sparks and ends up probably flipping over.

Same reason the teeneage girl goes into the room where she heard the noise, in a town where teenagers have been getting hacked up by a serial killer the last 2 weeks, on a stormy night, right after the lights went out.....

What the hell are you talking about? Do you know how wheels work?

The tires have to turn in a circle to make the car go straight. So they're spinning really fast making them a difficult target to hit.

Is that clear enough?

Are you asking why this doesn't happen in movies? If so, the answer is.. Its a movie.

You're right. I once shot at a car with spinner hub caps. No matter how hard I tried, I consistently was shooting behind them. It's science.

Hard to shoot out tires if you're directly in front of or behind someone. Have to get on the side for that and if you're on the side why not just shoot the driver?

Well I guess that makes sense if its a science related type deal. It just always seemed easier to shoot at the tires if you are behind the vehicle or shoot the radiator if in front of the vehicle.
