Hi I'm new to the OT but it seems to be popular with operators. I have an interview with Shintech plaquemine this week and Im wondering does anyone know what type of questions they will ask? Is it very technical or is it more behavioral and situational?

Thank you

It reads like a contractor that needs to get his arse back to work.

Sincerely
Supervisor of operations

I‘ve been in enough control rooms to know that there's a lot of truth in what I said.

If you have gone through the vetting process to get an interview I think now they just want to know about you.

Be prepared to answer the typical why hire you, what can you do for us?
What's your biggest strength, weakness?
They want to see for themselves that you can fit in and do the job, they already know you can pass a quiz.

Probably have to go through part of the info you have already provided such as work history, school etc.

Relax, be honest and as open as you can. Although they can't ask directly, they would like to know if you have a family, details that would make them reconsider due to possible time off needed any disabilities for same reason. Those kind of things.

My 2 cents anyway, good luck

It's known to have safety issues. I can't speak much further than that

I have worked there for two summers bc of school. But IMO it is a very laid back place. Everyone I know that works there seems to like it. Hope everything goes well for ya

ETA: Not an operator but i honestly didn't mind working there at all

How did you get an interview there? Know someone or saw an ad? They will ask if you are willing to do shift work, work in hazardous areas, mechanical and computer aptitude but mostly if you can get along with others. If you can't take some hazing, you are in for trouble.
