Senior skip day is tomorrow......

I teach almost all seniors. Am I an a-hole for telling my classes that if they want extra credit they better come to class tomorrow and do the test corrections I am offering?
I feel like they if they want the extra credit to help their grade bad enough then they will sacrifice senior skip day.

Why all the down votes? They have two weeks left of school then they are out for the summer.

I know that I'm old and did 16 years of Catholic education, but I've never heard of this. Is there a day that students actually are invited to skip class?

It is not sanctioned by the school and our Asst principal even sent emails out to the senior parents letting them know what their kids were planning.

It's tradition in the south.
Sr.'s pick a day and go party. Usually on the water somewhere. Some bodies lake house or similar.

Sounds more like you should spend the time reflecting on how to become a better teacher seeing as your pupils need extra credit.

I suppose it shouldn't matter to the students who are already doing decently in your class. With that being said, you're a fricker for doing something like this on Senior Skip Day. Why not just assign something they can do at home for extra credit instead of going to your bum arse class?

I have received a couple emails from students telling me that tomorrow is senior skip day and asking me if they can do the test corrections another day.
