The only good thing about not killing him is that we'll get to hear his story.

then after that, he needs to be foundhanging by a belt by an apparent suicide.

I was thinking the same thing. Was actually hoping he would be caught alive so we can get all the details.

I would love to hear the whole story but do you think that he would even give people the satisfaction of knowing the details or him speaking at all?

Knowing that he will never see the light of day again so it doesnt even matter if he "complies" if the time came?

I would have gotten to NYC, get some fake passports from Chinatown and disappeared.

I'm assuming that "Bill Me Later" is an option in this scenario.

His life is in the same position it was before he escaped. He's a lifer with no chance at parole. They will get it out of him I promise you. If they have to interrogate the frick out of him for 3 days straight without allowing him food or water they will just to be able to prosecute all parties involved. If it doesn't come out now it will later after he gives all the details to another inmate

I'm super fascinated by the story and while I hate to say I was rooting for them, i kept thinking about Andy Dufresne and getting out

Obviously they're killers and I hope they rot/burn, but I'd like to hear their side of things.

I'd have made it to Canada the second plan A didn't work out.

I know in the back of my mind I thought " well maybe they are smart enough to get as far away from the state of New York as possible" then I heard they were caught 50 miles from the prison and said man these are some dumbasses. What the hell did they do just walk the whole 3 weeks? How do you not steal a car the first 10 minutes your free?

Does anyone know when they realized that prison guard women wasn't going to help them?

The reports I heard a week or so ago made it sound like she changed her mind before they actually escaped. I'm just wondering if they left that prison fully expecting her to do as planned. Or did they know she might not be there?

Seems like they would have waited if they knew she was getting cold feet.

No, but I'm still a bit surprised that authorities were able to kill one and capture the other one alive. Given the fact that they have been on the run for 21 days. I expected them to be on the move at all times. Especially at night.

Living in the woods for three weeks is pretty arduous even for someone with the requisite skills, which these guys didn't have. They were pretty much at the end of their rope at this point. The autopsy of the other guy revealed blisters and food poisoning. And he had alcohol in his system

They've already charged another guy with giving them tools.

Per MSN: Sweat at first ignored the officer, but when he turned around, Cook recognized him, and Sweat ran across a field toward a treeline, D'Amico said.

Fearing Sweat would make it to the treeline, Cook fired twice, and both rounds hit Sweat in the torso, D'Amico said.

Captured killer David Sweat gave cops a blow-by-blow of his escape and time on the run with fellow fugitive Richard Matt — revealing that their original plan was to flee to Mexico with the help of Shaw-skank prison worker Joyce “Tillie” Mitchell.

Sweat claimed the lovestruck sewing-shop supervisor, who is charged with smuggling tools to the convicted killers, was the only other person who knew of their elaborate breakout plan, sources said on Monday.

Sweat — who a source said was “spilling his guts” to investigators — said he and Matt planned to drive to Mexico in Mitchell’s car following their June 6 escape.

He said Matt, who had the words “Mexico Forever” tattooed on his back, came up with the idea of heading south of the border, boasting of connections he made while serving time for a fatal stabbing there, sources said.

“They would kill Mitchell’s husband and then get in the car and drive to Mexico on the theory that Mitchell was in love with one or both of them,” Gov. Andrew Cuomo said.

“Then they would go live happily ever after — which is a fairy tale that I wasn’t read as a child, but we will believe what we want to believe.”

When Mitchell got cold feet and failed to show up, however, the escapees had to improvise and decided to head to Canada.
