Guess Blackfish really hurt attendance so they are scrapping their most known feature and gonna do another orca exhibit that is supposed to be more informative and natural.

Good. Animals aren't your prisoners, man.
Except for fish and plants. Who fricking cares about them?!

Who still goes to SeaWorld. Peaked in the 90s with Free Willie

Dude you're talking my language man. Fish > corporate greed.

I agree, but I wonder how much of the info in Blackfish was completely 100% accurate. Other former trainers have come out and said parts of it were slanted to fit the filmmaker's agenda.

I have a good buddy that worked at Seaworld in the 90's and was close friends with the girl that was killed by the whale. He said Blackfish was bullshite. I thought it was an effective doc but he was there and said it was a one-sided piece of garbage.

(Phone rings in the garage. Reverend Jim answers.)
REVEREND JIM: Hello, Sunshine Cab Company, who is this speaking please... The Miami Dolphins?
(to the other cabbies)
Hey everybody, I'm talking to a fish!
(Talking into phone)
Oh I beg your pardon, I mean mammal.

Same, like many others I watched it initially thinking "Oh I'll never go to SeaWorld now". But then I started seeing those other articles from other trainers(like your friend) saying the film was all hype and playing on people's emotions. And knowing that PETA was partnered up with the filmmakers also made me be a little skeptical.
So I don't know what to think now. Crazy how one film made a huge impact on a business though.

Not necessarily. That would only be if they caved in to SJW demands. I would assume that exhibit was crazy expensive. If it wasn't drawing enough of a crowd they're better off without it.
