I am a teacher and am trying to find a high paying summer job for 1-2 months in June-August.
I was thinking my best bet would probably be something in the oils fields. What opportunities are there for 1-2 months of work? I don't mind manual labor, long hours, shitty work ect...

Right now, all oilfield jobs are seasonal. most may only last 1-2 months more.

You can clean tanks, but don't expect it to be high paying.

Also the oilfield is not the place to be looking for jobs right now. Call back when oil reaches $80 BBL

I made $4k -$5k/month during summers in college delivering building materials. I was working 90-100 hour weeks though.

That's a really high paying job for only 1-2 months. Not gonna take any summer trips or anything on your time off?

Find somewhere willing to pay overtime. And work a lot.

good luck. You want a company to invest in training and licensing so you can work for 1-2 months and then leave? Maybe you should tutor or something.

Get your CDL and Hazmat license first and possibly look for a trucker's job. Even if you don't get one, you could find a trucking job elsewhere in some other field.

I used to work offshore during the summer while in college and make good money, that was a favor to my dad and not available to someone off the street. I don't even think they do that anymore.

I made 6k a month easily while working 6 days a week with a pipeline contractor. Basic laborer and eventually moved up to straw boss. Just start asking around about any pipelines jumping off around that time.

They do. I'm hoping to be a foreman on my next hitch. Easy 12k a month salaried with my old company
