I don't actually "get" anything. I just renew my Epic Pass and use the same ID every year.

Did you hear how that happened? The owner of the resort forgot to renew some license and Vail Resorts came in and scooped it up from underneath him.

Wow, that's awesome.

There's not much of a better deal than the epic pass. Isn't it only $400 or so?

i won a season pass at silver mountain (ID) for this coming season, when percy harvin returned the second-half superbowl kickoff for TD.

i stopped buying season passes because i can ski lots of diff mtns by hitting up craigslist after season starts (I'd buy if I skied CO much any more, but I don't).

in a 12-mo period, i skied lost trail, snowbowl, grand targhee, whitefish, discovery, silver, and schweitzer, for beans that way.

I think it was $540 this year. The Summit Co pass was like $450

They did steal it for the $150,000 license few but Park City sued and last month Vail Resorts ended up buying it for 182 million.

It's all over the board and I wouldn't do it unless dealing locally.

A lot of people seem to have been given or won a bunch of tix so they'll deal with you. I got a 10-punch card you can use for multiple people on same day for Lost Trail (such a great place BTW), with 8 punches left for $160 for e.g.

Some people are stupid on there w asking prices but generally no issues in the MT/ID region. I could see some scams maybe for the bigger resorts.

I'll be heading to Denver at the end of the month, was looking to check out Loveland. Can anyone else recommend any places within driving distance from Denver that will have a decent base and won't be too crowded?

No where will have a decent base at the end of October. I won't venture up until December. Just because places are open that doesn't mean they have good riding. Bring your rock skis/board.
