My barbershop here in Houston is partly modeled after this place. It's gotten really popular. They've expanded and added 6 barbers in the last year.

Glad to see craftsmen getting love instead of fricking Supercuts and sport clips, etc.

For the most part, black shops have retained this character. Always a white guy or two in mine.

Seriously. I've grown to hate these places. Grew up going to an old barber in Kerrville and was pumped to recently find out grapevine has a decent barber shop. I'll gladly pay more to have this 80 year old guy cutting my hair and not some bitch talking my ear off about her shitty life.

I agree, it's overkill for me. All I need is a trim and to be shaped up, but I appreciate the craftsmanship here. And the beers.

anything even close to that in the BR area? I don't mind regular cuts and trims at wherever, as seem to be always pressed for time. But every once in a while I'd like the full experience.
