I abso-fricking-lutely hate dealing with a bank... ANY bank... Yeah, sure... They keep my money "safe" as opposed to being put under a ducking mattress in my home and grant me access to it nearly everywhere (it seems almost like when they feel like it)

I travel all over LA, MS, AR, and FL and they seem to put a lock on my account at least 3-4 times per month.

I've told them, "I'm all over the SE, leave my shite alone unless I report it lost/stolen or you see crazy charges and if so, send me a text message asking to verify" (like they do 1 out of 10 times)

And don't get me started on ATM fees ON TOP of the ATM fees

Fraud is rampant. It's not the banks fault. Sorry to here this. They use an algorithm that monitors behavior and spending patterns. Anything out of ordinary might temporarily freeze your Acct. My bank does this but they will call the customer to verify a transaction.

Yep, a few months ago I couldn't find a chase ATM and saw one with a $1 fee. Got charged the $1 fee, and later saw "$5 IMPROPER ATM USAGE" on my statement. Thanks, Chase!

I use Schwab. I get a call sometimes asking me to verify purchases. I also get reimbursed all ATM fees.

but ultimately, they're trying to protect their arse under guise of protecting yours.

I travel all over the SE USA and have never had an issue with PNC. However, when I travel out of the country I inform them ahead of time and that keeps things right.

At wells fargo, you can set your own alert levels,if something seems out of the ordinary, they will call you to check it out.

About 4 months ago, I was in Arizona, and found a guitar I really liked,so I bought it. As I was walking out the door of the shop, wells fargo called me to check if it was really me.

I can't believe how many people are still ignorant to the benefits of credit unions.

Have you tried USAA? There is a reason why they are continuosly ranked as one of the best banks for customer satisfaction.

In my experience they cover your rants. When I had fraudulent charges they called and asked if I was traveling before cancelling my card.

Since they don't have local branches they reimburse for atm fees charged by other banks. Unfortunately, they don't reimburse for convenient store atm charges.
