I only have 12 hours left so 6 this summer and 6 in the fall.... I work about 50 hours a week if you count what I do at home, but I enjoy it as well.

That sounds terrible. You can't split that into 9 and 9? With 52 hour work weeks I wouldn't even attempt 18 hours.

Nope, I need 1 more year at the school I teach at to obtain a relief payment option.... Apparently since it is a lower district I am eligible for the forgiveness program up to 15k, so paying back less than 30k when all is said and done.

Only if you teach SPED; otherwise, you only get $5k taken off--assuming you taught at a Title I school (as listed under the program) for 4 consecutive years.

I hope not, girl at Sallie Mae I spoke with said it was more than 5k. Hope I was not deceived, was actually looking forward to owing less since I've been paying them even while in school. It never seems to go down though

You weren't deceived, just not given the whole story. Did you not read the TLFP documents? What do you teach? Are you certain your school is even listed as a qualifying Title I school? If it isn't, Navient won't give you a dime.

School I am teaching at was listed 2 years ago when I began as being eligible for forgiveness. Mainly because the entire district is considered poor and school is in the bottom half of Louisiana.
