Most people know this when they order satellite service. Will never understand it.

They can't control the weather. No one is forcing you to use them.

That's bullshite. You don't pay for electricity when the weather knocks it out...or water. If you are paying a flat rate it should be credited for outages.

It rains all the time and Direct TV always works fine.

I had more issues with cable than I have satellite.

Plus satellite companies are the devil.

If you live where I live, you use them or you watch 2 and 9. I guess I don't have to live where I live?

How often does that even happen.

It rains all the time in the South, however.

Well the water and electric company generally know when your service goes out. Not so for the satellite company.

They can't put something on the box that keeps track of the outages...wouldn't be that difficult since you get an error code.

Just went out again

if your shite is going out with any frequency at all, your dish needs to be adjusted...

Just had lots of trouble in the past week. All the rain last week and today. Crazy thing is sometimes one receiver will go out while another won't...what's up with that?

Op, at least go into your satelitte settings and see how strong your signals are so you will know if you need to adjust the dish. If it hasn't been adjusted in a couple of years, it prob needs a slight adjustment.
