Santa Clara police might not work 49ers games over Colin Kaepernick

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is sitting (or kneeling) during the national anthem as a protest over racial injustice, and police brutality in particular.
The Santa Clara police union is not happy about it and might not work at 49ers home games as a result. The 49ers’ stadium is located in Santa Clara.
CSN Bay Area obtained a letter sent by the Santa Clara police union to the 49ers saying that if the team doesn’t take action against its quarterback “it could result in police officers choosing not to work at your facilities.”
“The board of directors of the Santa Clara Police Officer’s Association has a duty to protect its members and work to make all of their workings environments free of harassing behavior,” the letter said, according to CSN Bay Area.

Pussy cops. He was mean, so we're not going to do our job of protecting and serving. Even if you disagree with ck, protesting is an American right. They government isn't supposed to not do their job because they were offended. No better than the sjws people bitch about.

Actually, working those games is an extra detail that those cops choose to work on their off day and is not a required part of their job. I don't blame them one bit for telling the 49ers to go suck it.

So what if not working the game is their way of protesting. Sounds like you have an issue with the PD but not CK.

That's the thing, once the tables are turned these idiots like to whine.
Cops, just like every other citizen have the right to protest and if by choosing not to work an extra detail is their way, then so be it.

I think it's different when it's a private citizen versus a government agency denying protection.
I guess the above poster is correct in that it's a overtime detail. It's within their right, but it is immature.

So one guy upsets them and they're going to abandon the other 99,999 people, the public the public they've sworn to serve? I'm starting to get confused as to who's acting more like a bitch(es) about this tempest in a teapot.

It's a power play by the police to put pressure on the NFL and 49'ers to cut that idiot.

They are not gonna gain much support with this sort of pussitude.

Assert your constitutional rights and this is what you get from the police.

They are sworn to serve the public when they are on their scheduled shifts. Not when they're considering a voluntary security detail.

They should at least ask for triple or quadruple pay based on the NFL by NOT discouraging the anti-police political activities of their employees are creating a more hostile, more volatile, more hazardous work environment.
Just like those whiny bitches crying "he touched me" "no, he touched me" and dancing after every play while making BIG money under their protection, milk the owners for all the money they can.
