You are assuming NATO will even react. We have a very weak administration with weak foreign policy as well as a war weary population. NATO won't act unless the US tells them too and Russia can push a long way before that might happen.

I served on the M1 & M1A1. At that time our main competition from the Soviets was the T-80, & T-72. I spent years studying the ins and outs of these and the other Soviet tanks of the time. The T-72 was pretty outdated even then (late 80's). The T-80 though was (and still is) a damn good tank.
As for this newest tank they've rolled out, literally all I know about it is that it looks very small (and thus probably lightly armored) and fast.

Logistically the Baltics and Poland would become a nightmare for the Russian military trying to maintain a supply line to western Europe. This new fancy shite doesn't mean anything without support. Its whats 3 or 4 support troops to one combat arms troop.
Those countries would use insurgent tactics and laying IED's to make the Russians lives hell.

Even back when I was deployed to Germany back in NATO's heyday in the 80's it was widely understood that if the balloon ever did go up, we'd probably have to resort to tactical nukes to stem the tide of Soviet mechanized forces streaming into Western Europe.
And the NATO of 2015 is but a shadow of the NATO of 88-89.
