Rory McIlroy replaces Tiger Woods on game cover and in name

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour 2016 does not have the same ring to it. The dude is good, but this game has been entrenched with Tiger's name included in it. They could have just kept it was PGA Tour 2016 and put a different golfer on it each year like Madden does. Imagine if Madden were replaced with Al Michaels in the name. Same thing here.

I'm pretty sure Madden will still be called Madden after he dies. He may not be on the cover but the name won't change. I guess Madden didn't have big scandal either that we know of though.

No, but to call it by another's name is easily is a stupid move IMO. Rory still can't measure up to Tiger, and let's be honest here. ..Tiger is American, easports is an American company, so an Irish guy on the front is weird imo. Rory isn't someone people gravitate towards like Tiger.

I think Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler, among others, will have something to say about that. Ditto Dubiusson. Also, as much as I dislike the guy, Patrick Reed is going to be a major player for a very long time.
