Rep Cedric Richmond Makes Joke About Kellyanne Conway Being on Her Knees

Jeez, what a piece of crap. I wonder if Gravy is going to defend his boy. Talk about inappropriate. I doubt anything will come of it though.

At the annual Washington Press Club Foundation's congressional dinner Wednesday, The Washington Post reports Rep. Cedric Richmond "made a cringe-worthy joke" about White House adviser Kellyanne Conway kneeling on the Oval Office sofa.

“You even mentioned Kellyanne and the picture on the sofa. But I really just want to know what was going on there, because, I won't tell anybody. And you can just explain to me that — that circumstance, because she really looked kind of familiar there in that position there. But don't answer. And I don't want you to refer back to the ’90s," Richmond said, according to the report.

Richmond's comment was reportedly preceded by a similar one from Sen. Tim Scott.

"Has anyone seen the controversy around Kellyanne Conway and the couch in the Oval Office? Come on people. You remember the '90s. That couch has had a whole lot of worse things," Scott said.

Photos of Conway kneeling on an Oval Office couch with her shoes on have sparked an online debate about decorum in the executive mansion.

Conway is seen perched on her knees on the couch with her feet behind her in photos taken Monday while President Donald Trump met with leaders of historically black colleges and universities. Other photos show Conway leaning over to take a smartphone picture of the event.

Some Twitter users were quick to highlight the photos as evidence of a lack of respect for the office from Conway and the Trump administration. Other users have countered with numerous photos of former President Barack Obama resting his feet on the office's desk during his time in office.
