It's sad what people will finance/rent when they don't have the money. I recently had the pleasure of listening to someone who works for a loan shark tell me about the loans they give out with credit card type interest rates and crap they take as collateral.

In law school, I worked for a firm that did a lot of collections. People would rent a $300 TV from those rent-a-center type places for $60 A WEEK, for months on end.
