Remove wheel locks off of older car?

Thinking of getting my wheel locks removed on my next tire rotation. They're stock wheels on a ~2010 sedan. Who the frick is going to steal a wheel off of a 6 yr old car? Just seems like a cluster if a shop doesn't put the key back in and you have a flat.
Remove or don't remove? This is what I'm talking about.

Are they really bothering you being on there?

Hand the key to the service writer and ask them to hand it back to you. It's not rocket surgery.

Why are you trying to steal your neighbors wheels?
Someone who is looking for those exact wheels?

Huh?

It just seems like an undue risk. You're stranded if it isn't there...And I just don't see anyone wanting the wheels. They served their purpose (maybe), but I just don't see that they have one now.

That's why I'm saying hand it to whoever you speak with, and make it their responsibility to return it to you in hand when you pick the car up. That way, if it's missing or if the tech forgot to take it off of his wrench, you know about it then. Not a month later when you have a flat.

Leave them on. 2010 KIA wheels are the shite and will be stolen with quickness

It's not brain surgery, rocket science, etc. It's a joke man.

So you think there's still a use for them? I mean they don't hurt me being on there I just question having them now.

They're already on. If you want to change them, but new lugs next time you bring the car in and have the shop put them on.
That's just my $1.35.

I was hoping this was about getting the locks off and you didn't have the key.
But for the OP, lug locks are for city folk.

I already have the 4 lugs that originally came off of the car, which I guess means the locks were a dealer option. I've always kept one in the trunk in case I lost a lug for some strange reason.

I've never used wheel locks. Sorry you live in a shitty area.

I didn't put them on the car. I bought it from New Jersey though...

they're still on my 2002 accord...

The state sold you a car?

You can freeze them off as well using liquid nitrogen and then have a vice like device that will crush them. I'm sure youtube has a video of it somewhere.

No, but this particular brand will not transfer a CPOed car from one dealer to another. I did a search on their US website, found the car I wanted and went to the local dealer to buy it. They told me I was on my own, but that they would service it under the CPO warranty. I flew up to Jersey, bought the car and drove it 1400+ miles home.
