I bought a lot in Lakeview this weekend and will be starting building in the near future. Anyone have any experience with any builders around here? I do not have any house plans or anything so I will be starting from scratch. TIA

We're currently in the process of building in lakeview.

We went with Kaiser Builders. I have zero negative things to say. They have been fantastic to work with.

Boh is commercial. Be careful who you choose; I am in the construction industry and see nightmarish shite happen all the time with some of the smaller, shady guys.

I'd suggest driving around and seeing who is building what, and if it looks like it's within your budget. Get out of the car and ask who is in charge and do some homework on the contractor. I have a couple names, but I don't feel comfortable sending rec's if I don't know your budget/style and so on..

Bought the lot at an auction. It is located on Filmore between West End and Canal.

Thanks I hear the nightmare stories a lot. Do you know anything about PAR contractors? I'm looking to build a 2 story house that is somewhere between 2000-2500 square feet.

I hear PAR is stretched a little thin.

We looked at them. Some of their houses looked nice, but we received a couple of warnings.

supersaint- ease up there fella. There are some guys that strictly build certain size houses. That's what I'm getting at with my response.

Yes, I have heard of PAR and know a couple guys that work for them.

I can't really find anything on Boh Bros in terms of residential building but am obviously familiar with their work. I will give him a call tomorrow. I need to start working on getting some plans together.
