Recently got a job offer in Bella Chasse, should I take it?

Currently in Nashville. Same pay. The only difference is that I would be closer to family. Convince me why I should or shouldn't move to New Orleans.

Stay away from here. I've spent a LOT of time in Nashville and I'd go there in a heartbeat if there was a way to sustain my career.

Is it actually Belle Chasse or a plant downriver from there. If you have kids, BC has decent schools. Like all areas around N.O, housing is expensive.
If you are trying to live on the east bank and commute, the drive kind of sucks due to evening bridge traffic.

Belle Chasse isn't a bad place to live.
Nashville is a fun city as well. I would take the BC job, but live in the suburbs. Though you can get a really nice house in algiers for cheap.

Belle Chasse is good if you like to fish. It's 20 mins from Nola depending on traffic. There's a miserable bridge that's always up that you'd have to deal with constantly to get to Nola. Public school is ok from what I hear.

You get to complain about the Belle Chasse tunnel and bridge on Facebook all the fricking time like my family 
. Plaquemines Parish is an interesting place. I grew up down there and miss it occassionally. Most of my family is still in that area.
It will be a culture shock from Nashville that's for sure.
The public schools are ok there.
Great access to fishing as mentioned. Easy access to NOLA.
Not sure I would ever move from Tennessee back home though.

Look into Jesuit Bend and and Belle Chasse High. The bridge sucks.
