I also say the older CTS-V coupe:

The CTS-V wagon is already a classic. Especially the one with a manual transmission. IMO any limited production American car with a manual will become a classic.

I also think the E39 M5 is an instant classic.

They actually made some manual E38s. I have what will be a classic to me, naturally aspirated I6 manual E60. The last real 528i. They had a good run. I hope to buy a similar E34 at some point as well.

I had an E39 528i. It took 200k miles to kill that thing. I was upset when BMW went to turbo charged engines.

I think the E39 M5 is the best looking M5, it'll be a classic too.

Yeap, you're right. Not sure how I forgot about that. They really didn't advertise them as much as the car deserved. Not sure why either.

I don't think it's intended to be a car marketed to the masses. The sticker is north of $40k on the base model and, last I checked, there was only 1 optional package to add on. For a vehicle like that, it's more intended for people really keeping up with car news versus the everyday driver. Personally, I just with the front end styling was a bit more aggressive, more akin to the G8.

Sticker is $50K now and there are a couple options. The problem is that GM has put a hault on all SS sales currently until a recall gets fixed. All the '16s are sitting on dealer lots and can't be sold. No new models will be imported until the '17 model year, which will be the last year for the SS.

One of my favorite cars, but I don't like the rims on the one pictured.

It will be a classic for sure, but definitely not a surprise. Already has a huge following and the prices are holding steady/going up. I owned one for a couple years but had to sell it, cant wait to buy another.

New corvettes will always be future classics unless Chevrolet goes full retard.

You might as well have included the Pontiac Aztec in that list. The Porsche 928S was like an elongated Pacer.

Now that they stopped making the Fj Cruiser it will be a classic. The body never changed.

Yeah that car in your pic doesn't exist unless something changed in the last month.

1. Audi A3 hatchback gasoline version. Audi stopped selling the A3 hatchback in the US and has switched to sedans only. They have said might bring a diesel hatchback back at some point, but it's not looking good these days for diesel cars in general.

2. Nissan GT-R. A perennial classic.

I kind of think Ford's short bed Explorer Sport Trac is going to gain some nostalgic popularity when Jeep releases their short bed truck here in a bit.
