Re-opening of Ms. Mays Cafe in Oakdale and signature items

Join us for the grand opening Friday! Full menu and drinks for the LSU/UL super regional. Half-priced cocktails from 2-6 all weekend!
MENU
Appetizers:
Bread crumbs and melted honey butter
* Flaky biscuit droppings smothered in a honey butter and garnished with peanut brittle
Goddess's Chicken Strips
* Tender, juicy fried chicken parts doused in a secret Oakdale seasoning. Served with Green Goddess Dressing
Powder Pannini
*Creole Ham, salami, and Bologna pannini topped with glazed honey mustard and banana-breaded cookies
Cheesy Fried Goodness
* Fried Cheddar cheese topped with frog-leg pieces and served with a side of marinara and butter sauce
Nachos alo Mae
*Miss Mae's homemade tortilla chips served under cheddar and colby jack blend and black and green olives, cauliflower, peanut brittle, and sweet and spicy sour cream
Frog-leg Pegs
* Tender, juicy froglegs served under a bed of warm creole mustard and sauerkraut...topped with a garnish of lime and hazelnut extract
Main Menu:
Creole Pickle and Mustard Pie
*Hot gooey creole brown mustard covers a bed of full-sized dill pickles, en-wrapped in a golden brown pie crust. This is our signature item
Butter Sandwich Platter
* 5 sandwiches with the crust cut off, dipped in our golden yellow butter and served with raisin pie casserole
Flank Steak Sandwich
*Fried flank steak served on toasted bread garnished with apple sauce and butter
Mae's Mutton
*Finely cut lamb covered in a bed of radishes and spicy sour cream and served with a fiery pickle pudding sauce on the side
Cheddar Burger
*1/2 lb of angus beef topped with butter, jalapeno extract, and lime pudding sauce...served on a bed of hot french fries
Desserts will be announced this Thursday. Come all. LSU game on two 46 inch plasma TV's in bar area and picnic area. 20 percent off all meal tickets for those in LSU or Louisiana jerseys.

Looks like they copied the menu from Pluke's Pig Lip's and Pies! Only thing they are missing is the World Famous Monkey Hip's and rice.

the sheer fact that nobody else of consequence has posted in this thread only solidifies my stance, it's not a community with varying and interesting characters
