It means you are getting sued for damages for F'ng another man's wife. It's a common law tort in Mississippi.

What kind of damages? Do you get a free chance to beat his arse without going to jail or something?

I've never heard of it. Louisiana must not support your redneckery laws that Mississippi and Alabama provide.

It's where you hide in a closet for like six months straight and urinate on 14 year olds.

I'd be pissed if R. Kelly gave my wife Chlamydia too.

Louisiana did away with it 90 years ago.

Moulin v. Monteleone, 165 La. 169, 115 So. 447 (1927)

States that still have it: Hawaii, Illinois, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Dakota, and Utah.

Most states have abolished it by statute, usually in the 1990s.

Childress's stated  reason for wanting  to move to Georgia was for  her  career. Plaintiff agreed to his wife's request, quit his good job in Mississippi, and moved to Atlanta.

This was after he found out. The frick.
