Uh he obviously knows how to lose weight
Op, i was prescribed Prozac at 14. I'm 36 now. You'll be fine, probably better than if you took nothing, unless you can get some really good therapy. Good luck

Yeah it's ok, I am asking this on the OT lounge so I expected about 50% BS
If only one day we could have a health and fitness board!
I have gone down the cognitive therapy road and it was ok but didn't get anywhere. Maybe this will help in my road. I hope the side effects aren't awful and don't cause weight gain

You already have your answer...
But seriously, I would be more worried about you stopping the meds because you weren't taking enough. shite, my dog takes 60 mg a day.

1. If you do get off of it later, it has a long half life and will stay in your system for quite a while.
2. Watch any interactions with other medications. Some of them make it even more potent than it already is, which could end up making you more manic or enraged than normal.

To your first point- is that a good or bad thing?

I took Prozac for postpartum depression and it worked great. Just make sure you don't drink while taking it because it will mess you up. Good luck with this!
