I'm 80% certain tomorrow I'll trade in my 2007 C6 / LT3 / LS2 with 18k miles for a 2011 GS that has very nice aftermarket interior leather upgrades and Z06 Spyder rims, car has 12k miles.

I've heard Chevy significantly improved the C6 beginning in 2008 and besides the move to the L3 engine "fixed" the issues with the 05-07 models. Only issue I've ever had that concerns me is a clunky auto trans when cold.

My 2007 is flawless but no NPP dual mode exhaust or chrome rims or nav and the interior is awful. Have driven my neighbors C7 a different animal altogether but don't want to spend that much money right now b/c am buying a bay boat this year.

So, the question is for a $10k difference in price vs trade allowance, is swapping the '07 LT3 for the '11 GS worth it in terms of a much better car? I'd keep it three years and then trade into a C7. Btw, haven't driven a GS yet tomorrow will be the first.

Thanks for any advice. I'm retiring in March coming back home to Nola / Hammond and will drive the GS more than my present garage queen.

Gut call, yes.

10K for a 4 year newer car is just about always a great deal. You're still in the same gen, but way newer.

Was thinking the same but wasn't quite sure.

Thanks again for the advice I'll be driving the GS tomorrow.

Corvettes are American, son.

(Except fr the Canadian body panels, the Japanese electronics, the Australian torque tube, and the Korean lug nuts.)

And the Asian fiberglass... Resin is domestic, but that glass isn't.

They switched to smc panels with the C5, out of Canada.

75% American/Canadian content, so,that's still pretty good.
