I'm 6'2 210, pretty lean build. Always been more of a runner than a lifter. I don't get on a scale too often but, I recently started working out with a buddy and am trying to get down below 200 (body fat below 10%).

I started at 210 and had been down to around 205. After a rough leg day, I'm left with very sore muslces and a 3 lb spike on the scale. I know that when you tear those muscles tissues that your body retains more fluid to help repair, but 3 lbs?

Give it a few days and check it again?

I wouldn't be hooked on the scale numbers. If you're putting on muscle and losing fat it may go up a bit at first. If you're concerned with losing weight worry more about your diet and less about lifting heavy shite.

You should be able to meet your desired body fat percentage at 210lbs 6'2. Why do you want to be under 200? And yes, due to fluid retention, resistance training (burning fat, building muscle), or a jacked up scale, your weight can fluctuate 3lbs that quickly.

You'll shed fat and weight for a while building muscle, so that's not necessarily true

If you're 6'2", 210 lbs with a "lean" build, you must be pretty ripped

Just a personal goal. Every couple years I'll work to get back down to the old playing weight lol. Then I settle back in at 210. Also, when I'm under 210, any sign of love handles is gone!

I kinda assumed as much, just hadn't seen it jump 3 lbs in 1 day. My legs are tore up though, I'm walking funny.

Drop the scale. Water weight can vary, your extra pounds you gained in 1 day don't mean a thing. Look in the mirror for progress.

And, to answer your question, throw away the scale. Unless you have to meet a weight requirement, it will only mess with your head

No kidding. Does he run sprints? May explain the sore legs if he's sprinting and squatting heavy.

I mean, I'm 5'11 and about 175.

6'2 210 is damn near OT perfect
