Do people in San Antone get mad when you call it that the way people in San Francisco do when you call it Frisco?

Yes, they do. The people who are FROM there get irrationally mad about it. It's hilarious.

People in San Francisco call San Antonio "Frisco"?

That's strange.

No, they don't. When I lived there one of the first things they told me at work was "don't call it San Antone".

Austin is overrated, mainly because my ex lives there. She's vile, nasty, fat, and has lupus. She was none of those things when I knew her, except the vile and nasty part.

I'm a Houston homer all the way...but there is simply no way in hell that San Antonio as a city ranks ahead of Houston or Dallas/ Ft. Worth. By any measure.

Well, most residents are from Mexico, so they don't understand the context of your question to begin with.
