I was told that one should not have items sent to any address where one would also not want the paper catalog sent as well. For that reason I didn't have it sent to my work, like I do most other things. Is that true? If you order online they automatically send you the catalog regularly? I'd prefer it not be deliver to my office monthly with my name on it.

Little background: So i ordered some unmentionables for V-Day for the Misses. As luck would have it, the wife was sick that particular day and her mother was visiting at the exact time the mail came and because she's nosy, opened it up. I would have preferred that not to happen, but what do you do?

Anyway, that was about 6 weeks ago and still not catalog. Was I misinformed and no catalog is automatically sent?

Catalog is included in the package usually.

Catalogs will come. We get one a week it seems like.

Though I think.you are pretty paranoid that your mother in law will see the catalog. You'd rather the catalogs show up at work instead?

Thanks.

No, i don't care about my mother in law, I just don't want to to show up addressed to me at work.

My story is only that I changed my behavior to avoid embarrassment (catalog regularly being delivered at work) only to have another minor embarrassment and was wondering if its even true.

Sounds like the better solution would have been having your wife have a discussion with her mother about opening your fricking mail. I think you're focused on the wrong problem......

You really can't put it together why he wouldn't want a VS catalog mailed to his professional workplace?

They'll start coming. At least they should if things are how they were back when I worked there.

When the catalogue comes in the mail at work, just hold it up and say, "Very funny, you guys!"

I'm no LL, but it's pretty standard that if you give an address to a company that does catalogs by mail, they will send catalogs to that address.

Use a fake name when ordering, so when the subsequent catalogs come, you can blame some nonexistent person

Her mom opened her mail? Remind her that she committed a federal crime and to stop being such a nosey bitch.

I'm not gonna lie, that shite would have pissed me off. I doubt I would have kept quiet. I'd probably be in deep shite with my MIL if that happened. Sign her up for some Adam & Eve catalogs. Hell, I might even make a small investment to send her a small product from there along with the free DVD's they advertise....Something from a nice catagory like anal midget gangbangs or worse.

Vicki's catalog ain't what it used to be, it comes to my house, as does the "Family Handyman," I pick that up instead, nothing much to see there

I agree completely. Also, as it has been mentioned, it's a federal crime to do so.

for future reference, Frederick's of Hollywood > Victoria's Secret.

MUCH more risqué outfits and actually somewhat cheaper.
