Lawn chairs a good idea? Haven't been to one of these.

Lawn chairs are a must because the Blue Angels are usually the finale.

Hearing protection might not be a bad idea either.

How long do the shows typically last?

Why do you not want the dulcet sounds of freedom delicately tickling your eardrums, comrade?

The sensory overload is part of the experience.

Lawn chair, sunscreen, and cash for concessions. That's all you need. I can't stress that second one enough. On an airfield, there's absolutely nothing to block the sun and if you go on Sunday, the temperatures are going to fool you into thinking you'll be fine.

You won't.

Must be the Safety Manager in me.

Another note to add get there early and stake a claim under the wing on the other planes that are on the display, INSTASHADE. (disclaimer: I got to the ones here at the air base near my house, not sure where the one ya'll are discussing will be held.)

I'm gunshy from the times I've thought that only to find cash only once I get where I'm going or they intended to take cards, but they've got some kind of technical snafu going on. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, you can't get fooled again.
