Yes. Nice place, cheaper than some other carribean resorts. Don't recommend leaving resort.

Went to Excellence myself.

Been several threads on here about PC, DR.

Went there for honeymoon. Resort was nice (Paradisus Palma Real). Beach was nice.

Lots of Europeans. Nothing to do off the resort. I enjoyed myself but would t go back.

For poors or cheaps.

If something goes wrong there, it can end badly. Not for me. Very Third World off campus.

There's better options but they cost at least 20-30% more.

We honeymooned there last year and absolutely loved it. We'll definitely be going back. Don't listen to the naysayers. There we no problems as all and we went off resort twice on excursions.

The food was incredible, even the buffets. The water and beach was perfect. We stayed at the Bahia Principe Punta Cana and will definitely go there again. The staff was awesome and english speaking. If anything they mixed the drinks too strong.

If there was any downside at all it was the beach vendors although I did score some Cuban Cohibas from one of them. Just politely tell them you're not interested and they'll leave you alone.

Our resort had everything you could want to do. Clubs, sports bar (which was cool cause we were there during World Cup), casino and 7 different a la carte restaurants. There was an office on site for the excursions with everything from wind surfing and scuba diving to deep sea fishing and atv riding.

I highly recommend and I've traveled all over the world.

You're a Bammerite. Your clan's idea of designer luggage is new WalMart plastic bags.

I wouldn't recommend to an enemy to go the DR for a honeymoon.

Went last year with the wife. Stayed at th Bahia Principe resort which has like 4 other resorts all together. We stayed in the one without kids. Great beach, good food except the buffet sucked arse. I didn't like it at all and neither did my wife. The restaurants on the resort were really good though. Got asked to purchase a little reifer the first 5 min I was there and on the beach.

It's a shithole off resort, so if resorts are your thing, go for it. I went once. Don't think I'll ever go back.

I'll be going at the end of July . I've already booked a Saona Island excursion and thinking about booking an inland tour of sugar and coffee plantation as well as rum distillery through rum runners.

Google Cabarete. It's way prettier and better beach.

Single guy can slay some poon there. Don't listen to these guys about staying in the resort.

You definitely have "white god" syndrome in the smaller towns. It's fun.

skip PC. Fly into La Romana (on S/SE coast) and stay at Bayahibe. Reasonable all inclusive's (Iberostar and others), warmer, clearer water this time of year than PC. More EU than USA but less crowds overall. Unless you know the area or are with someone who does, stick to the hotel compounds and beaches pretty much anywhere in DR. Daytime isn't too bad to get out in town for tourists in Bayahibe but most resorts have everything you could want on premises or nearby.

if you're an OT baller, pull your yacht into Casa De Campo and shoot some skeet. I may be there in a couple of weeks depending upon the boat owner.

Did you think of that clever little addition all by yourself or did Mommy help?

Our honeymoon was at the Iberostar Grand Bavaro. I highly recommend staying there. You have access to the entire Iberostar property if you stay at the Grand Bavaro, so that gives you 5 or 6 golf courses, 20+ restaurants, and a ton of activities. I just drank and read on the beach or spent time in the room.
