PSA: Racetrac Gas Station in P'ville

If you purchased gas with your card at the pump at the Racetrac in Prairieville. You might want to check your banking account activity. Looks like someone was/is using a card skimmer.

shite, I almost exclusively buy gas there.
Always debit card. Just the other day it told me I had a wrong PIN number, so I went inside and she told me to run it as credit.

I got gas there yesterday and since then there have been 18 fraudulent transactions on my account. Had to put both checking and savings accounts on hold.

I just got gas at the one on 73. I was thinking at the time that I wished gas pumps took ApplePay so I wouldn't have to scan my card.

Luckily, they never actually got any money. The bank noticed the activity and blocked it. But, now we have to go through opening new accounts and getting new cards.

No way of knowing how many pumps had the skimmer(s). May have been just one or may have been all of them.

yeah, i stopped at around 6:30 am and just about all of the pumps were being used.
