Anyone here ever have a Professional Resume written for them? If so, did it provide any value?

Looking to move on to my next endeavor and with 10 years of experience it seems like a professional resume might be a good idea for upper level jobs.

Professional Resume's

Looks like you already are displaying a problem with confusing the plural of a word with the possessive form.

See if volod can help you.

You should go back to your current one and check for misused apostrophes

I'd make sure they understand the difference between a plural and a possessive.

Not a professional writer. Nor am I expending any amount of effort on an online post. Answer the question and move on.

Don't let the resume own you, you own the resume.

It might take 30 mins to research how to write a professional resume. Maybe 15 mins if you are a smart fella. Asking this question tells me you might not be ready for this next step.

He does sound ready to get promoted up to his level of incompetence.

I have a professional resume that has worked well this is based on and structured on best practice per the internet. However to say I can capture the content as well as a professional resume writer is inaccurate.

If you can't figure out how to write your own damn resume, maybe you should just quit working altogether.

It's not about grammar and structure. Its about how to best capture 10 years of experience in a few pages.

Go to a freelance website and find an AMERICAN with a great background. It will be expensive. I had my resume, CV, and Linked in professionally done from a guy who went to Columbia. 249.99 and worth every penny. He was very professional and really narrowed down the scope towards what I was applying for.

And to clarify: I say American because not only will they have much less translation problems, but they will also understand the American work place much better.

Have you ever had to hire someone who is required to use their brain at work?

(That is what's called a "rhetorical question".)

Finally, an intelligent response. Thanks. There is a place in New Orleans with a guy who did a corporate resume for us that did great work. He charges around $799 per resume. However it could easily be worth it in the long run.

Get your panties out of a bunch. I fully expect to get these types of responses any time I post on the OT. I at least get to respond in jest.

Writing/fixing resumes is one of the more tedious parts of my daily job responsibilities. Whether you hire someone or Google for tips, there are differences of opinion on minor bullshite details and how they should be presented. Just find some resumes of folks who have around your level of experience in the same field and base yours on one or more of the different formats/styles you find. You could get away with a two-page resume, but it's dependent on the field.
