She should hop on a plane to Syria and come back as a refugee. The jackpot refugees have hit w/ the Obama administration is nearly Scrooge McDuck style

Your friend needs to stop whoring around. Where's the dude she fricked? Where's his involvement? Why isn't the chickenshit manning up in order to help her financially if she has no insurance?
Even without insurance, birth control is cheap af. You're telling me that she's that fricking poor that she couldn't afford $50-$100 (that's on the high end) a month for birth control?
She will not qualify for Medicaid. Her income level is too high. Now the hard working people get to foot the bill on your friends frickup.

She might want to speak with someone at Insurance commissioner s office. Or better yet, ask her job if its okay that she speak with insurance commissioner. See what happens then.

She is still married to her ex (complicated) to get his insurance, but his company dropped all spouses who could get insurance through their own work, she's a teacher and can, but not until open enrollment.
So she's a single teacher with one kid already, another on the way, making 27K per year, and no insurance. So who will watch her kid(s) when she is teaching? So here are 2 more children we"ll be paying for because a woman cant buy a condom/say no/get on the pill/cross her legs.......

OK this may not be a popular option with her but she needs to put this baby up for adoption. Unmarried, working, already has one baby, only makes $27k, and young enough you refer to her as girl?
Give this baby some kind of chance at a good life and do a closed adoption.
I agree with this. There are a lot of families looking to adopt and in her situation right now, the best thing she can do for the baby is to allow a family who is willing to give the child as much as possible.

She needs to move, 27k should qualify for Medicaid

Not sure if this has already been posted, but according to my insurance slinging wife:
1. She has 63 days from the time her husband's company dropped her to get her own insurance with her employer. This is considered a "life changing" event and she would not have to wait for open enrollment.
2. If it's been more than 63 days, she needs to finalize the divorce ASAP. This would also be considered a special circumstance and would start the 63 days over again. The reason she was denied Medicaid is because she is still married, so her income mostly likely included both hers and her husband's.
Hope this helps.

I bet your friend has a student-sexual relationship mugshot in her future.

Tell her to divorce her husband like she should have already done, and then get her insurance through her work since she had a "change of life event." Your welcome.

Planned parenthood is always an option.
It's her choice if she wants an abortion, but at least make sure she knows that's an option with several benefits long-term.

She just said her income is $31,800. Not sure why she said $27 before
She booked the 4800 that she has you penciled in for.
/not really. Good luck to both of you for various reasons.

Some of you are assholes, I'm just trying to help.
She makes $31,800 and said the Medicaid office denied her. That's with one kid and one on the way. She didn't know the ex's insurance for her was dropped so the 60 day window is up.
She's trying to finalize the divorce but it's taking forever. Once that is done that qualifies for her to get insurance through the school, but there's no telling when it will be finalized. She is horrible at following up on stuff.
I need to know numbers, or advice. There has to be a way. Why would she be denied for Medicaid? And does anyone know how to expedite the divorce process? Once that's done everything will be ok, and the year LA requires had definitely lapsed, but how do I make the divorce go faster?
And yes it might be my kid. So fvck all of you calling her names and such, she really is a nice person. We need help and advise, I figured the OT could help.

Because she is still legally married.

Well that sounds like a personal problem on her end. She needs to get her shite together, her baby's health depends on it.
