Going to the Master's Monday practice round. Anyone have any tips on what to do in Augusta while I'm there (places to eat, what to do all day Sunday). This will be my first time and not sure how I should go about the day. TIA

Bring some cash. I hear the concessions are outrageous.
They want like 2 frickin dollars for a damn sandwich.

Make sure you wear golf shoes. It's a sign of respect for the course.

There isn't too much in Augusta besides the course...
The local Hooters quadruples in size with a bunch of tents, and flies in talent from all over America. There are apparently some better steakhouses where you can run into players and caddies, but you will need to make reservations.
There is also a gentleman's club, but don't set your expectations too high... Just have a nice Sunday and be prepped to get to the course as soon as it opens. And probably hit the merch tents first thing, they will hold your loot for you. I'm jealous

TBonz and Hooters. Get some rest and get there early. Go buy your swag first thing in the morning before the lines get nuts. Don't worry, you can check it and they will hold it for you til you're ready to leave.

Augusta might be one of the trashiest cities I've ever been to. I'm not kidding. Out side of the country club is nothing but a white trash trailer park.

You haven't been to many cities. Augusta outside of the Masters is a pretty normal Southern town. Lots of trash, sure. But it is no more trashy than most.

Get to the gate 30-min-1hr before open. They will open an outer gate and let you in to the area where you can buy swag and breakfast before the official open time (there's a second gate right under the leader board by the clubhouse - this is the gate that is opened at the printed open time)
So go in before the opening, buy all of your swag. Buy a lot, never know when you'll be back. Check it at the gift shop. They'll hold it until you're ready to leave or mail it to your house for you for free.
Head across to the foodcourt and buy a sausage biscuit and a coffee and head over to the leaderboard to watch them on the course before it opens. Players will come through that gate and tee off before they open the gate. You can watch them from there. First time I went they opened the gate as Tiger, Freddy, and Rory were teeing off on 1.
Follow a group through the first few holes, then sit and watch for another group to follow ahead. Keep this up until you hit amen corner about lunch time. Sit there for lunch and watch groups pass through. Then pick one to follow back in on the back 9.
You're there for the course your first time, not the players.
Head down to 16 green very early, it's close to 1 fairway, and watch the caddies checking green speed. It's incredible. They drop balls straight down from 4 feet and the ball rolls 40-50 feet away.
Drink a ton of $2 Stella, eat all day. You can get drunk and full for about $25-$35 all day.

Went to a practice round 5 years ago with unreasonably high expectations for Augusta National. Those expectations were exceeded.
We parked in the back parking lot. That worked out okay because there is a great gift store after you enter the gates there. Just like the rest of the place, prices were very reasonable so I loaded up.
Get ready to see the most perfect grass you have ever seen. The good thing about practice rounds is there are less people, more room to move around the course and you can take all of the photos you want. You also get to see the players attempt to skip the ball across the pond on #16. Of course we walked every hole and in doing so you get the added bonus of seeing the best golfers in the world in a casual mode. But that course..... better than expected and I expected perfection.
We stayed 30 miles down the interstate so we didn't take in anything in Augusta. I wanted this to all be about the golf course anyway.
