Currently in New Orleans but possibly going to move for work. Options are Pheonix, Salt Lake City, Winston-Salem, Charlottesville, and Nashville.

Pros/cons?

I lived in New Orleans most of my life but did live in the Charlotte area, Norfolk, Memphis, and Houston. I have been to Winston Salem but never lived there and I have a cousin who lives in that area and likes it. Other than New Orleans I really liked living in Houston because of the food!

Personally. I would only live in Nash or Phoenix out of those.

Charlottesville is very artsy, has a beautiful historic university, is close to a great national park (Shenandoah) and Monticello, has many trail areas... an hour from Richmond, which itself is quite interesting.

I think you would like it.

I lived in PH Az IT IS HOT AS an oven on self clean!

Have worked a lot in Nashville- it would be a great town
Carolinas or not a bad place to live--

I would not live in Salt Lake- it is Utah you will not get over that unless you are Morman

I've been to Charlottesville quite a few times and have some friends that live there. I love the place and my friends love living there. Great little college town even if it does run a little liberal. The biggest con is that it's kind of in the middle of nowhere.

I live in Winston-Salem. The pros and cons would depend on what type of person you are. It's a pretty tame place to live. Charlottesville would be similar. What employer or job field?

My top two would definitely be SLC and Charlottesville. SLC is beautiful and the outdoor activities are fantastic. Charlottesville is an awesome little town, with tons of history in the area, and D.C. is only 2-3 hours away... And that area is really beautiful as well.

Nashville would probably be third for me, then Winston-Salem and Phoenix.

Those are pretty different places, depends on what you like. Personally Nashville would be my top choice out of those.

Charlottesville is nice, but pretty small. Very easy drive to Richmond or DC.

moving from New Orleans, what are your feelings towards alcohol? Hate it, SLC is for you. Like having a glass of wine at a restaurant? Good Luck
