CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP)-- A Clarksville man is accused of raping two women after he caught them shoplifting from a Dollar General store.
The Clarksville Police Department says 38-year-old Robert Lindlau caught two women shoplifting in March and had each of them perform sexual favors on him inside a locked room, claiming that police would be arriving soon.
The women, ages 44 and 32, told police they feared for their safety and did as they were told.
Authorities say Lindlau, who was an assistant manager at the store, never called police about the thefts and allowed the women to leave with some of the items they had tried to steal.
Lindlau was arrested Tuesday and indicted on two rape counts. It is unclear whether he has an attorney.

Exactly! I don't get how it is rape. Did the dude force himself on the women? Did the guy have a weapon and/or threaten the women?
Saying that he would exchange some back room bj's instead of calling the cops, is not rape. It is a bribe. The women apparently agreed to it and now are in slut denial. Or am i missing something? Unless he forced himself on them or had a weapon, it should not be rape. Plus I would imagine two women would be able to take him out pretty easy. One gives him a bj, while the other hits him the back of the head while you know, he is getting his D sucked.

He was just trying to teach them some work ethic. He offered them a job and they accepted.

they were 38 and 42, not naive teens or anything.....AND they are dollar store thieves, these are hood RATS, they are clever as frick. They were prolly laughing, "hey spit it on your shirt, we bout to get paid!"

Yep that's rape. Coerced them to perform sexual acts under threat of being turned over to law enforcement.
Assuming that's what actually happened. Innocent until proven guilty.
edit: In Tennessee, rape is defined as sexual acts committed under force or coercion

So they are still to be prosecuted for thievery, right.

I get the definition, but I don't get why they wouldn't just go for getting arrested?
EX: I, an officer of the law, just caught you pissing in public.
I will BUTTfrick you and let you go, or I will write you a ticket for indecent exposure.
Do you EVER take the dick? Does it even cross your mind once?

I find it ironic with Bill Clinton in your avi. Not saying I disagree with you though.

If I'm on that jury you're going to have a hard time convincing me that a 38 year old and a 42 year old woman are capable of being coerced into a BJ under the "threat" of legal ramifications. If the alternative was they would be properly arrested for shoplifting, I don't see how you could convict the guy of rape.
If he was a cop, sure, but something tells me there wasn't much coercion going in in this case.
