I don't know the full story, but why does veteran status always seem to work its way into these stories? As if every person to don a uniform is some kind of George Washington type character. It aggravates the shite out of me.

I saw him get got in the face, but I didn't see the arrest... he wasn't even in cuffs at the end of the video...

Terrible footage.

Oxford, like most small towns, probably has police at that game who are over weight, uneducated, and have a chip on their shoulder. People here like to believe we have good people patrolling the streets but unless you're talking about state troopers or cops in bigger cities you're most likely being protected and served by a guy who hacked out a 2.2 gpa in high school and would have to lay down after running a mile.

Cops gunna cop

Video also appears to show the guy being defiant and resisting the cop.

Not that its all justified but that could give them just enough to make this go away.

Looking at the video, it looks like things went bad when the big cop pulled on the guys arm. Since the cop was below the guy, if the guy wouldn't have squatted down he would most probably have fallen forward onto the cop. It looked like he was trying to keep from falling.

I could be wrong but that's what it looked like. Does the escalation of force include right to the face in most departments?

This all stemmed because the officers thought he did something that someone a few rows up did and blamed him and his friends.

No mam...it started because your husband was told to leave and argued with them in his seats and it made them mad. It ain't right, but thats how it is. Embarass policein public and your either going to jail, getting your arse kicked or both, regardless of whether you broke the law or not.

If he had those types of injuries and they didn't give him medical attention it will not go well for those officers wether it was a justified use of force or not.
