A buddy I worked with for the past 2 just moved his family back to Utah for work. He wants me to come visit.

He lives in Brigham City. Should I go in the winter and go snowboarding in the Rockies? Or the summertime and go hiking and visit Lake Tahoe? I've never done either.

If you want to snowboard, March is a great time. Great snow conditions and the weather isn't too cold. Some of the best snow you will experience

When Jesus comes back to set up shop on salt lake? And his...brother....Lucifer, makes a mean face.

May/June or October. Utah is beautiful year-round, but I prefer hiking and camping.

Utah is awesome if you like being outside. Ski season is from about Thanksgiving through March. Any other time is for hiking, mountain biking, etc, etc.

Lake Tahoe

That's a long way from Utah. But go in the summer, I don't think there is a better state for a road trip. Arches, Canyonlands, Natural Bridges, Capitol Reef, Bryce, Zion... Just a beautiful part of the country.

California is a great road trip state too, do Tahoe some time as part of a road trip there.

You do realize Lake Tahoe is in California?

Looks like it's almost 9 hours away from Brigham City.

I'm not a ski person....so I would rather go to Utah in the summer to hike. We used to have friends that lived 40 minutes north of SLC. We had a blast when we visited them. My husband and his friend went mountain biking everyday while us women did our own thing(all the ski resorts have designated downhill mountain bike trails...you place your bike on the chair lift and take to the top...ride your bike to the bottom). I went hiking, off roading in the jeep, horseback riding, and ziplining. So beautiful there in the summer, perfect weather.

I go in the summer and winter and it's equally awesome. Since you ride a stupid arse snowboard, I would go in the summer to avoid the shame.
