Planet Fitness on Seigen: Anyone been?

Drove by last night and saw it. Looked nice from looking through the window.
It obviously has more than enough cardio equipment but how much free weight equipment do they have? How many machines?
What is the monthly cost and is there a contract?
How does it compare to other gyms in town (Foxys, YMCA, Max, etc.)?
Thanks!

Damn, the 3 PF's I've been to all had free weights
Posted on 6/15/14 at 11:00 am to TheIndulger
Yea the one that i just switched from had dumbbells. Only up to 75lbs though. 10$ a month no contract. Had to leave because they didn't have nearly the equipment i need.

The pizza nights are to die for.

Only 75's? I'd get a hernia just picking one of those things up.

It's the same as every other PF - 5 lbs increments on the dumbbels up to 75, a few Smith machines that you have to use for bench presses/squats/etc, tons of machines and cardio. $10/month.
I've been going there for for a year since moving to BR, but I'm about to switch to YMCA in a few weeks since I've lost over 100 lbs and am looking for more things to get over the boring routine that I do at PF

pf sounds like the shittiest gym ever

PF seems to be amazing from the outside looking in but once you're in, it sounds borderline regrettable.

Don't even think about dead lifting or they will throw your arse right out

PF isn't a gym. It's a cheap fat camp for adults.

And the reason they do what they do is to keep gym snobs like you away.

I respect fat people trying to get into shape, but they serve fricking pizza and candy at PF. That is just cruel

No squat racks. All you need to know

Its true. They advertise that they don't have the elitist gym atmosphere.
Its part of their formula for success

No lunks, as they put it. I think they serve donuts on Sundays. Basically, fitness for the lazy. If you're just getting on a treadmill, you're golden.

It's definitely not a gym for the serious workout guys. Which ia exactly the way they want it.
There are plenty of gyms for those guys.
