A United Airlines captain settled a politically-charged “scuffle” with a heartfelt plea to his passengers aboard a flight from San Francisco to Puerto Vallarta late last week, according to a video uploaded on YouTube.

quote:

“I understand everybody has their opinions; that’s fine,” the captain began. “If you support him [Trump], great. If you don’t, I understand. However, we’re up here to go to Puerto Vallarta, supposed to be having a good time, and what I do ask is that as people we have the common decency to respect each other’s decisions and to get along … Nobody wants to argue, nobody’s gonna change their minds by arguing. And let’s keep our opinions to ourselves on this particular matter at this particular time.”

quote:

“When cooler heads prevail and we can talk and realize we’re all human beings and we all can stick together and we can all pull for this country in our own way, then that’s what we should do. If there’s anybody that has a problem with this, that needs to vent or rant or rave, there’s another flight tomorrow. You’re not gonna be on this one. I hope that’s clear.”

I would have gotten to this point in a lot less sentences, but good for him.

The exterior of the plane is white, so no.

Beach destination, so no.

Weight limit restrictions, so no.

According to my sister, that place is currently going off the deep end post election. Sounds gratifying.

Imagine being in the middle between Lard Gary and Meghan Matt.

One who takes up the whole row. And the other who needs whole row by herself after admitting that she doesn't bathe frequently.

Yeah, I have a friend that lives there as well. He says everyone has gone fricking insane and none of them (save for my friend) thought Trump stood a chance. They're just totally delusional on how the country actually works and had a very rude wake up call with Trump's election.

My friend lives in Portland and works for THE CITY. They closed their office the few days after the election to "grieve and cope".

Apparently a lot of places did that. She said her coffee shop (there are thousands there) had open mic discussions the days following for people to figure out how to live under Donald Trump.

I see the silver lining in all of this. Do you understand how good you must have it for the results of a democratic election to ruin you for days at a time? I'd kill to have so few problems and responsibilities that I could just take off for a few days to cope with the results of an election.

Yeah, it just blew my mind that a city funded office (social workers) were granted a few days off to mourn an election.

That is so wasteful and absurd beyond reason.

She is a Bernie supporter though so she thought it was normal
