So we know Jupiter has a magnetic field...

So Jupiter is the table where god snorts coke.

You just said exactly what you quoted but in more sentences.

I just explained what I quoted and applied it to the overall subject matter of an entire field. It's called participating in the discussion. But I guess that isn't what message boards are for. They're to make a-hole comments. Mea culpa. I'll delete it.

How come we've never seen this before ?
Or maybe we have, I just don't follow Jupiter too closely. .

Juno is expected to arrive at Jupiter on July 4th.

The beautiful observations are also timed to give context to NASA’s Juno spacecraft, which is currently blasting towards Jupiter at over 130,000 miles per hour. It should reach the planet by July 4th, and will then dive as close as 3,000 miles (5,000 kilometers) and below the restless surface clouds in order to study the planet’s formation, structure, atmosphere, and magnetosphere. Together, Hubble and Juno are sure to return more mind-blowing beauty very soon.

Seriously exciting. Makes me wish I was born 50 years from now to see what else we've discovered. But in some ways I'm glad to be at the early stages of our exploration.
Makes me feel good knowing that yes there are fricked up people doing really fricked up things to others (Orlando, Istanbul, etc) but there is also nasa launching a god damn spacecraft at 130,000 mph towards the gas giant Jupiter.
We are an amazing species.
