In my 30+ years of working on the road, I have never seen that being done. Can not imagine a good reason.

Now, the idiots who stop in that right hand lane of the I-10 W Essen off ramp can eat a dick. The sign clearly says "do not stop".

Same as the people who slow down to 30 mph when a cop is ticketing someone on the other side. It's not like the cop is going to get his car and cross the median to stop you from going 5 mph over .

Never seen that.
Now I've seen plenty of 'tards not get out of the way of one, or even go through an intersection in front of one.
Saw one chick in an SUV rubber necking an accident in the opposite lane. She was oblivious to the full size firetruck on her arse with lights, siren, and horn (she must've been jamming some tunes) that was trying to get to the accident. She almost shite when she finally spotted it in her mirrors.
