Saw that yesterday. Not sure if I would be mad or all 'Merica if they blew my easy-up away.

Might depends on where it lands.

What happens when one of those umbrellas lands and skewers someone? How cool will that be?

I almost saw that happen once when a storm came up. Only thing that saved the lady was it went thru her EZ-up and got caught. Otherwise she would have been pinned to the beach.

Last year we took our vacation on Pensacola Beach, and it was nice as hell to see 2 free air shows. One was while I was swimming around the beach, and we went to the other at the base itself. We were very fortunate to be in town while they were in town practicing.

Most Tuesdays through Thursdays, you can catch a free show while in the area

Pilot is an idiot and douche. Fortunately for him and the U.S. military, no one was injured.

But...lol

I like how the first plane did a slow flyby maneuver to distract them. The Swoosh

I was there. They always do one sneak high speed pass like that but on Saturday one plane had to duck out for some reason, I guess he was having engine trouble. So they did an extra one from the opposite direction that they usually come from. He flew much closer but it was awesome. My favorite part of the shows are the sneak passes

I noticed that also. We were on the boat in the bay and I kept looking around expecting the sneak because I could only see 5 of them most of the time.

We were staying at the Hilton and I saw all the boats in the bay before I rode the elevator down. It was crazy how many boats were in the bay and in the gulf

They are very loud and will startle anyone who's not expecting them. People would drop to their knees at the beginning of the Blue Angel run, kind of funny.

I got sandblasted Thursday during a sneak pass. It was my favorite part. It blew an E-Z Up from the waterline to the dunes. Other umbrellas were doing the Mary Poppins thing. Probably the only time in my life that I didn't mind having sand all over me.

Traffic and parking was a nightmare if you weren't staying there. I could only imagine how it was Friday and Saturday.

That's their move.

Chicago air and water show has them every other year and they did it last time (also a free show, the largest two-day spectator event in the United States and the longest ongoing show of its kind in North America #chicago)

Cool thing about the chicago show is that if you watch from the rooftop of one of the high rises on Lake Shore, you actually are looking down on the planes as they come through the buildings.
