The media continues to use this phrase like some attempt to subliminally influence public opinion....All these so called peaceful protests aren't turning out so peaceful.

Because of Those darn "outside" agitators.

They keep letting their talking points get in the way of the truth.

I said this in another thread.

I would hardly call these protests non-violent. first of all, many had violence and looting. All of them have had people getting in the face of police officers and verbally accosting them with bullshite chants and threats. that type of rhetoric along with the media and politicians stirring this shite up leads to what we saw last night... and there will be more to come.

every protest has people saying "frick the police" or "no justice no peace frick the police." imo screaming an obscenity is not peaceful

Maybe if they say peaceful enough times, the protests will actually start to be peaceful

the whole protest could be up in flames, but as long as one old granny is standing there quietly, the media will call it a peaceful protest

I haven't figured out how every peaceful protest in the past couple years has turned into buildings burning, looting and destruction of public property. Not really very peaceful.

I agree here too. You see the police really being hung out to dry allowing all these angry mobs get right on top of them. If shite went sideways there is literally nothing the cops could do.

politicians don't care. They are catering to their demographic and trying to get votes by playing up how they could change things while underhandingly instigating shite.

I think it's time to find new ways to protest issues and not have mass mobs gathering in public places.

I was amazed at listening to the Dallas police chief(who is black, has a lot of respect locally,) have about a 3 minute preamble justifying the rights of the "protesters" to assemble and voice their frustrations, minutes after 4 of his officers had been killed, 5 wasn't dead yet, before discussing details of the shootings with a reporter

No way. You should have a right to peacefully assemble. We don't take that right away from anyone just because of BLM or any other terrorist organization.

Peaceful is the key word though.

Interesting how the police are gearing up instead of trying to continue with the experiment of not wearing riot gear to these riots.

I guess they'll have to have the National Guard out tonight with the "peaceful protesters".

And we've had violent assemblies before last night as well.

That doesn't mean we throw away a portion of our first amendment rights because of these idiots. I wouldn't advocate taking away guns from people over last night either because some have been used to kill cops.

The news here in Atlanta tried to call it civil disobedience. It's insane retards were blocking I75 and I'm surprised they weren't run over.

I'm not disagreeing with you, constitutional rights have to be protected, but in the case of Dallas it appears to have been an opportunity to commit premeditated murder behind the shield of the constitution, and to be fair, "professional" protesters aren't new, hell, the Chicago 7 were way too old to be hippies or drafted, and didn't really have strong beliefs that were in concert with their "protest"
