My daughter is playing her first year of t ball. It is basically a parent's league, it's like 4&U and my daughter is less than a month away from being 3. She was very amped up about playing, so we signed her up, figuring if nothing else, she will be outside playing, and may have a small grasp of the basics by the time she plays in a regular tball league.

The problem I am having as a dad who wants to outfit her properly is, I can't find any cleats her size. I know she doesn't really need them, and her mom and I are fine with putting her in pair of sneakers, but my daughter wants a pair of cleats, and I would like to find some if possible.

I have been to all the big SG stores (Academy, Dick's, Hibbett, Sports Authority)and they have nothing close to her size in a baseball or soccer cleats. Smallest they have is like toddler/infant size 10, and my daughter needs anywhere from a 6.5 to a 7. If we could find an 8 we would use it, because of the socks, she would probably grow into them by the summer.

Have any of you been through this? If so, what did you do and where did you locate them if you had any luck. Thanks in advance friends.

***UPDATE***

FOR ALL THOSE WHO ACTUALLY CARED:

Went back to Academy on my lunch break and found these babies in a size 8 and in pink.

She will love them

Also, because I wanted to and fueled by all of the negative comments, I spent an additional $50 on 3 pair of pants, 3 belts, and 4 pair of socks.

Thanks for all those who were constructive, and for the rest of you...

Is this a joke? I didn't even know they had leagues for kids this young.

She will be 3, and she wants to play, you try telling her she can't. Thanks for the help though.

It is called "Tiny Titans", they allow a parent to be on the field with the kid at their position. It is a great way to get them active.

She has been in dance and gymnastics for a year now, and she is more advanced than the 5 year olds. I know it may seem like we should give her the iPad and let her waste away inside, but we like the idea of having an active child who does semi-productive things.

If you are already being ruled by your kid at 3, then I weep for you in 10 years

I wouldn't buy cleats for a 2 year old. There will be little semblance of tball taking place, and the only reason she probably wants cleats is because you do. Granted it may be cute having her in cleats. Being that I have an 18 mth old I can completely understand, but I would save the $30-45 on this one even if you did find them online somewhere.

ETA: almost 3 yr old

Tell me why I should tell her she can't. She wants to play, we want her to play, and their is a league available for her to do so. What is wrong with you people?

My 2 year old doesn't run things. She has parents who like to give her opportunities.

I'd get her a sandbox or maybe one of those play law mower things that make the popping sounds.

3 years old? Are you serious? No worries though, I'm sure in your eyes she has an advanced IQ and will be taking college credit courses at 5

Buy some shoes, tell her these are what kids her size wear for cleats. Make it special, create a story. Is she potty trained completely?

Ok. . .those are pretty cool, but still a bit big. But apparently they do exist FWIW.

You'll definitely have them for next year.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with her playing T-Ball, dance, gym, soccer, or whatever else you/she wants to do. More power to you. But the premise of your post, and your own words, is that you are vainly searching for cleats for a toddler b/c "she wants them". Just tell her they don't come in her size, let her throw a fit and get over it, then go play your game. Problem solved.

Thanks for useful input. She has seen her cousins wearing them, she is bright, she knows that you wear different shoes for baseball, just like she does for dance. I know we don't have to spend the money, but if we can find some, I would like to buy them.

That is all this post is about. Not about getting hammered by a by a bunch of people who obviously don't have kids, about things that aren't about the question posed. Thanks again for your input though.

the shoe companies probably don't make cleats for kids that small because they are more likely to twist/sprain/break their ankles from walking on them wrong on hard surfaces.
