All workouts should be centered around moderate to heavy squats. I didn't start putting on noticeable muscle until I committed to squatting my arse off (no pun intended).

And it's more like 45 minutes once you include warm up
actually its more like 32 minutes.

the warm-up is included in the 30 minutes, then there's a 2 minute cool down/stretch period after the 30 minutes is up.

all in all, 32 mins of pain...not bad.

Son of a bitch. I was going to start Sunday, but i nearly broke my toe dropping a sheet of 3/4" plywood on it at home depot thursday. I'm giving it until next sunday to start up. I really wanted to start up yesterday.

You can start cold. It's ok. P90X3 is comparable to P90X1. You don't need to be a fitness model to start it. Just remember, pace yourself and take breaks. You will suck at it for a few weeks. But after a while you'll start beating your previous goals, and you'll get in great shape.

Starting this afternoon. Got great results from a few rounds of p90x 1. Can't wait to try this one out as well.

Started day 1 today. Awesome workout I'm really feeling it right now.

Haven't worked out in 3 weeks and was really unhealthy over the holidays. Crazy going 3 weeks off feels like a year off when you start back.

Looking forward to this series!

I'm starting Sunday. Just ordered a simple pull up tower to start doing pull-ups on. The pull up bars that mount over your door way either cracked the paint or the sheetrock, and i don't want to further damage the house. I'll be doing next week's workouts with it, but after than, i'll use the tower.

So i did my first workout yesterday. That shite was intense. Maybe it was because i haven't worked out in about 2 or 3 months, but man. I got halfway through when the were doing the hop press thing, and after i stopped and laid on the floor for about 5 minutes until the nausea passed. I then finished the workout, a little weak in the knees the whole time.

Funny thing is, i'm not too sore today. My abs are a little tight, so are my lower back and legs, and a little bit of my chest and back. I got the feeling i will really feel it tomorrow when i wake up.

I'm liking it though, if yesterday is indicative of the whole program, then every workout is a complete body workout.

What do I need? My new house is not conducive to a pull up bar.

You can use resistance bands if you can't use a pull up bar.

i ordered a pull up tower, because the pull-up bar was starting to damage the molding and the sheetrock in my house. I should be getting it next week. Until then, i'll keep on using the pull-up bar.

Awesome, bro. Keep at it and change your diet. It will give you the best results.

I just started Phase 3 of P90X2 Last night. When I started, I weighed 208. Now, I weigh 175 or less.

How does this compare to Insanity? I have and use Insanity and I love it! Ridiculous workout.

Yeah, me and wife are doing that right now. I'm doing p90x3, she's doing a boot camp thing. I've done the first p90x multiple times. But i lost motivation after a while, so i tried to join a gym. As I was trying to workout at the gym, i noticed all i was doing were the p90x exercises, except i had to wait for dumbbells and stuff to be open, and then there were assholes staring me down the whole time (YMCA). So half way through the workout i just left. Luckily i didn't pay anything. Since then i was running every now and then and would try to start up p90x, and would do 2 or 3 workouts, then something would come up and i wouldn't have time.

I'm pumped about p90x3. I lost 20 lbs with P90X, i'm a naturally thin guy, so i was just getting out of shape. I am 6'1 and weighed 195 lbs. Lost 20 lbs, and was weighing 170-175 lbs. Best shape of my life. I am still in the 170's (my ideal resting weight), but i want to tone up, lose the belly fat, and generally get in better shape.
